(Updates with T-Mobile comment in the last paragraph.)
T-Mobile US (TMUS) will lay off 77 workers starting on Sept. 21 across eight cities in Washington, according to the state's Employment Security Department database of worker adjustment and retraining notifications.
The layoffs will take place at locations in Seattle, Bellingham, Bothell, Vancouver, Bellevue, Kennewick, Tacoma and Yakima, according to the database.
"Like all businesses, we're constantly looking at where we allocate our resources so we can invest in the areas that matter most to our customers," a T-Mobile spokesperson said in an emailed statement. "That means making adjustments where needed while continuing to hire in areas that support our priorities, strengthen our momentum and help us keep changing the industry through innovation."
