IBM (IBM) said Wednesday it has completed the acquisition of research and development institution HRL Laboratories.
No financial information was disclosed.
The newly purchased business brings silicon-based technology that will complement the existing superconducting quantum computing hardware, the company said.
Former owners will continue to collaborate with both entities on advanced technology development, IBM said.
