Shanghai Junshi Biosciences Co., Ltd. has announced its financial results for the first half of 2026, revealing a notable turnaround in profitability.
During the reporting period, the company generated operating revenue of RMB1.696 billion, representing a robust year-on-year increase of 45.18%. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached RMB21.663 million, successfully reversing the loss recorded in the same period last year.
However, the net profit attributable to shareholders excluding non-recurring gains and losses stood at a loss of RMB203 million, although this deficit narrowed considerably compared to the previous year. Basic earnings per share came in at RMB0.02.
Throughout the period, the company has been actively enriching its product pipeline, exploring combination therapies, and accelerating the advancement of its existing clinical programs and the development of reserve research projects. Despite these efforts, operating revenue has not yet been sufficient to cover research and development expenses and other costs, resulting in a negative net profit figure excluding non-recurring items, even as the loss has narrowed significantly year over year.
During the first half, the company achieved pioneering and breakthrough progress across the discovery, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of innovative drugs. The company maintains a healthy cash flow position, and both its core management team and research and development personnel remain stable.
As more pipeline products gradually move toward commercialization and additional indications for already-launched products are expanded, the company's ability to sustain operations is expected to strengthen further in the future.
