Shares of CCTC (06951) climbed more than 6% during Monday's trading session in Hong Kong, before paring gains to trade 4.32% higher at HK$111.20, with turnover reaching HK$101 million. The stock's rally comes as the company is set to release its interim results after the market close today.

Earlier, CCTC issued a positive profit alert, projecting net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 1.794 billion to RMB 2.041 billion for the first half of 2026, marking a year-on-year increase of 45% to 65%. Excluding non-recurring items, the company expects attributable net profit of RMB 1.653 billion to RMB 1.92 billion, representing growth of 55% to 80% compared to the same period last year. Based on these figures, second-quarter net profit is estimated to rise at least 27% quarter-on-quarter from an already elevated base, surpassing the RMB 1 billion threshold for a single quarter for the first time.

According to the latest MLCC industry research from TrendForce, South Korean component maker SEMCO (Samsung Electro-Mechanics) has recently taken the lead in raising quotes for the fourth quarter of 2026 targeted at OEM and ODM clients. This move signals that the MLCC industry has officially entered an upward pricing trajectory. TrendForce noted that as orders for mid-to-high-capacity consumer-grade components spill over to other manufacturers, utilization rates are being pushed higher, and with SEMCO adjusting prices upward, the MLCC sector is now firmly in a price hike cycle.
