On August 25, Kanzhun Limited released its second-quarter results for fiscal year 2026. The company generated revenue of RMB 2.399 billion, up 14.1% year-over-year, with growth accelerating from the first quarter. Revenue from enterprise customer recruitment services reached RMB 2.384 billion, an increase of 14.7% year-over-year.
User scale remains the most direct growth driver this quarter. In the second quarter, Kanzhun Limited's average monthly active users (MAU) hit 70.2 million, up 10.4% year-over-year, surpassing the 70 million mark for the first time. Over the trailing twelve months ending June 30, paid enterprise customers reached 7.2 million, a year-over-year increase of 10.8%.
Currently, Kanzhun Limited is deploying two distinct growth strategies tailored to markets at different maturity levels. In the blue-collar segment, small and medium-sized enterprises, and lower-tier cities, the company remains in a phase of increasing market penetration. In the second quarter, blue-collar roles in manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics continued to outpace overall market growth. For instance, in Kashgar, both monthly online job postings and active job seekers grew over 40% year-over-year in the first half. In Xuchang, cross-border e-commerce, and in Yongzhou, e-commerce and cultural tourism industries, have also fueled fresh recruitment demand. These segments have traditionally relied on offline hiring, referrals, or local intermediaries, with relatively low digital adoption, meaning new users still expand the platform's network effect.
Meanwhile, in first- and second-tier cities, and in markets with higher penetration among white-collar workers and large enterprises, the growth model is evolving. Management stated during the earnings call that third-, fourth-, and fifth-tier cities will continue to prioritize user growth and penetration gains. In first- and second-tier markets, the plan is to maintain user growth while leveraging AI to enhance hiring outcomes and progressively lift commercialization levels.
At present, Kanzhun Limited has extended its AI capabilities beyond job recommendations to cover post-hiring processes, including communication, screening, and interviews. The company disclosed that in the first half, AI products targeting high-end white-collar, gold-collar, and batch blue-collar hiring clients saw rapid growth across metrics such as enterprise customer base, intended candidate delivery volume, and customer service unit pricing. This signals that the next phase of growth for Kanzhun Limited depends not only on acquiring new users but also on delivering deeper value from existing users and recruitment demands.
These shifts are already reflecting in the income statement. In the second quarter, the company's operating profit reached RMB 863 million, up 32.6% year-over-year, with the operating margin improving by 5 percentage points year-over-year. During the same period, the company absorbed one-time marketing expenses related to the World Cup, with sales and marketing costs rising to RMB 581 million from RMB 420 million in the prior-year quarter.
Its cash reserves have also enabled Kanzhun Limited to step up shareholder returns. The company announced an annual dividend of approximately USD 230 million. Combined with over USD 300 million in share buybacks executed this year, total dividends and repurchases now exceed 100% of last year's adjusted net profit.
